The UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 created meaningful visibility for women’s football, but lasting shifts in access and inclusion require consistent, long-term work. In this spirit, the adidas Foundation and the UEFA Foundation for Children invited 16 community organizations at the adidas campus to launch the Legacy for the Future Community of Practice, a space designed to strengthen learning and collaboration across diverse local contexts.
Over three days, partner representatives exchanged experiences, discussed challenges, and shared approaches that are already working in their communities. Rather than prescribing solutions, the gathering created room for partners to learn from one another’s expertise and explore practical ways to increase access to safe and inclusive sport opportunities for girls and women.
The Community of Practice now continues online, where partners will stay connected through regular exchanges and shared resources. This ongoing collaboration intents to help them adapt, refine, and grow their programs in ways that respond to the needs of the girls and women they serve.
While the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 has concluded, the collective commitment behind Legacy for the Future remains active. By supporting partners to connect, reflect, and learn together, the Community of Practice aims to contribute to the momentum of the tournament and long-term progress for women and girls access to sport across Europe.
